When you place a rental reservation, our system verifies your payment method by attempting a small authorization hold (under .50). This is a standard process to confirm that your card and billing address are valid before attempting to process the main transaction.

Here’s what you need to know about this authorization:

• It’s Not an Actual Charge: This small amount is not collected by us. It’s a temporary authorization hold that helps us verify your payment details.
• We Void Immediately: Once your card is confirmed valid, the authorization is voided. You won’t see a refund because the amount is never captured—it will simply disappear from your account.
• Timing: While some banks release temporary holds as soon as we void them, others may take 3-7 business days. Please Note: We have no control over how long your bank takes to process the release and are unable to expedite the process from our end.
