We will do our best to accomodate your request if you need to extend your rental. Keep in mind, however that in some cases we are unable to do so if another customer is already in line for the equipment. Prices are calculated as follows:
If your extension is for less than three days, the 3-day rate is divided by three and the same rules above will apply.
Please note it is always a better deal to rent the equipment for the amount of time you need it for from the beginning of your rental. Our automated system schedules other reservations based on return dates for the equipment that's currently out, extensions make it much harder for us (and the system) to predict and allocate inventory.
For example: a lens may have a 7-day rate of $60 and a 14-day rate of $90. If you rent it for 7 days and decide you need it for an additional week at the end of your original rental we are unable to charge the $30 difference between the two periods and convert the rental to the 14-day rate. The extension would be an additional $51 if you let us know before your order is due back (15% off the $60 7-day rate), or another $60 (new 7-day rental) if the order is already overdue.
