Rental Extensions

Extensions

In most cases you will be able to extend your rental by logging into your Aperturent account. However, in some cases extensions may be unavailable when we need the equipment returned to fulfill other reservations. Extension prices are calculated as follows:

  • Before due date: extensions are 15% off the price of a new rental.
  • After due date: extensions are charged as a new rental.

For extensions less than three days, the 3-day rate is divided by three and the same rules above will apply.

Please note it is always a better deal to rent the equipment for the amount of time you need it for from the beginning of your rental. Our automated system schedules other reservations based on return dates for the equipment that's currently out, extensions make it harder for us (and the system) to predict and allocate inventory.

For example: a lens may have a 7-day rate of $60 and a 14-day rate of $90. If you rent it for 7 days and decide you need it for an additional week at the end of your original rental we are unable to charge the $30 difference between the two periods and convert the rental to the 14-day rate. The extension would be an additional $51 if you let us know before your order is due back (15% off the $60 7-day rate), or another $60 (new 7-day rental) if the order is already overdue.

Feel free to contact us anytime at info@aperturent.com should you have any questions.

Extension Tips

  • In most cases, extending your rental is possible by logging into your account. Keep in mind that in some cases, the option might be unavailable when we need the equipment to fulfill other reservations.

  • Extend early, we'll apply a 15% off discount if you process your extension before your scheduled return date. If you wait until your order is past due, extensions are charged as a new rental.

  • It's always a better deal to rent the equipment for the amount of time you need.
